Pauline Couty: 1938 – 2020
In memory of a dear friend and colleague Pauline Couty, who over many years taught French at the UN Geneva and the UN New York.
3 Nov 2020

Pauline Couty was an excellent French teacher. She enjoyed teaching students from many countries and was always interested in their lives and cultures. Pauline was an exceptional lady possessing a gentle, warm and caring nature. She was gracious and charming and all who met her admired and respected her. She was cultivated and loved literature and art. She was also a very talented artist and held several exhibitions of her own work in Geneva.

Pauline had studied Spanish at university and had an enduring passion for Spain, its language, culture and beauty which remained with her throughout her life.

All who have had the good fortune to know Pauline will greatly miss a wonderful friend and colleague.

May she rest in peace

* Joyce Hall is a former student and dear friend.
