In September 2021, the International Geneva community – just like the rest of the world – was still adjusting to the ‘new normal’ of the post-COVID-19 era.

Events and conferences were mostly taking place online but in cases where they did not, everyone had to social distance.

It meant that physical space had to be created in locations and rooms which were not initially designed to accommodate it.
