Shot over four years ago (pre-Covid and a lifetime in technological terms) this photograph speaks to the nexus of tradition, modernity and innovation. 

Looking forward, there is still a lot to be learned in terms of how digital tools (i.e. social media, online conferencing, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, etc.) will influence the practice of diplomatic, development and humanitarian work. 

Among others, the question of access to such tools across the board remains a critical one.
