Conference delegates can be a fun tribe to watch at times.
At large-scale gatherings, up to ten or fifteen events can take place simultaneously, with overbooking happening in every room. Latecomers or corridor wanderers end up standing by the door.
A single moment can then be filled with a myriad of different actions, including taking notes, following the dialogue, catching up on emails or resting the eyes.
Each task, each delegate, each moment builds with all the others a complex quilt of diplomacy and change.
